This is a pencil drawing based on a tiny corner of a National Geographic photo. I can’t remember the exact details, but the photo depicted a group of kids in the 60′s or 70′s at a rock n’ roll concert – one of the few allowed by the government at the time. Thus the pure energy and raw thrill in the faces of these very plain, very average kids. At this moment, they aren’t the loser, they’re on top of the world.
